How to use iCareIntel

Add documents → Read with AI → Check and finish. Confirm the reading cost before processing, then explicitly add the checked result to your emergency record. Both assistants use the same committed medical sources.

Start here

Already activated? Go straight to Your first document reading below. You do not need to read the whole guide first.

Follow the instructions inside your package. Open the activation address for your card and enter its private claim code. Keep that code and your login details private; do not share them with someone scanning your emergency card.

  1. Create an account when prompted, or choose ‘Sign in’ for your existing account. Use the account you want both linked cards to share.

  2. Complete the activation steps and read the applicable consent choices. Health-data processing, external AI processing and public sharing are different choices. Accept only what you agree to.

  3. After successful activation, open ‘Home’. The eligible package’s included 360-day membership starts at genuine claim-code activation, not purchase, shipping or storage at Amazon.

One emergency record, two assistants

Anyone possessing your emergency link can open the information and entire originals you add, including unread pages of a partially read original. The intended audience is medical personnel; possession of the link does not verify someone’s profession. Share only information you are authorized and willing to disclose.

Both assistants use the same eligible medical profile, saved readable document content, corrections and coverage limitations. Their conversations, authorization and funding remain separate. Public AI does not receive your private conversation or account/payment fields. There is no separate document audience selector or excerpt-publication step in this journey.

Uploading or finishing an AI reading does not add a document to the emergency record. An unfinished document is visible to you for continuation, but not through the emergency link or as a source for either assistant. A saved reading still needs your final Add confirmation.

When you review a document and choose “Add to my emergency record”, you confirm sharing both the document and the medical profile displayed on that review screen. You can also choose “Confirm current medical profile for the shared record” separately, without adding a document. If you previously withdrew profile sharing, a fresh Add confirmation that includes the displayed profile shares it again. Uploading, saving a draft or reopening a saved result does not restore sharing.

1 · Add documents

Open Documents and choose a file or camera image. Check the filename, original preview and upload status, then Continue. Optional title and notes can help you find it later. Upload and navigation do not start AI processing or spend reading credits.

Uploads support JPG, JPEG, PNG, WEBP, PDF, DOCX, XLSX, TXT, up to 10 files, 10 MB per file and 50 MB per batch. AI reading supports eligible PDFs and JPG/JPEG, PNG or WEBP images. DOCX, XLSX and TXT uploads do not qualify for this reading journey and remain unfinished. HEIC/HEIF is unsupported; export a supported file yourself. There is no automatic conversion or hidden OCR.

Use one complete page or card side per photo, or one coherent readable screenshot of a digital record. Screenshot coverage is limited to visible content; the original record may continue outside the image. PDFs can have up to 200 original pages; a quote selects up to 10 distinct pages at a time.

3 · Check and finish

Compare the saved result with the original, including dates, doses, numbers, units, page references and uncertainty. Supported corrections retain their source and review provenance. An uncertainty note does not make unreadable text readable or medically verified. AI can be wrong; consult qualified care for medical interpretation.

After checking the result, choose “Add to my emergency record” to confirm sharing both the document and the medical profile displayed on that review screen. A usable partial or complete saved reading may be added. The coverage states how many pages were read and lists unread page numbers. Visitors can open the entire committed original; both assistants use only valid saved readable content with the same limitations. Notes alone or no usable reading leave an unfinished draft.

Reviewing, reopening and final Add use no additional reading credit. Reopening a committed document shows its saved result and management actions. Continuing an additional reading is an explicit choice. A newer pending, unresolved or unusable attempt does not replace the existing valid commitment.

To replace a document, use its replacement action, obtain and confirm a new quote, review the saved result and explicitly Add the replacement. The old valid commitment stays until replacement succeeds. Remove the source or withdraw its consent to stop future app access and use by both assistants. Profile sharing can be withdrawn separately without deleting your stored profile or independently authorized documents. Removal does not refund or replenish credits.

Ask either assistant

Both assistants resolve the same committed medical collection and coverage, but an individual request has existing input limits and may use a bounded subset. Do not assume every original page was read or every saved region fits a question. Drafts and removed sources are excluded.

For a new private question or summary, choose “Check cost”, read the quote and use the separate “Send for … credits” confirmation. Editing the question requires a new cost check. One chat credit is not one message. Reading credits and private-chat credits are separate.

Private questions retain their existing quoted credit and funding rules. Public questions and summaries count against the owner’s shared daily request allowance, shown in the orange notice; it is not a separate allowance per visitor or device. The daily counter resets at 00:00 UTC. Remaining funding and other existing limits can stop requests earlier. Public funding is separate from reading and private-chat credits.

If a chat response is lost, recover the existing operation rather than sending the question again. Recovery/status checks do not charge. A completed request with an unavailable reply is still executed. A missing response is not proof of non-execution. Refresh/reset context only when offered; it does not automatically resubmit a paid question.

Reopening an authorized retained paid-private answer is free and does not start another question. This is a saved answer, not a full conversation archive. Access restrictions and assessed erasure still apply; membership or quote expiry alone does not erase it.

Neither assistant is an emergency service or a medical professional. Otherwise authorized medical information and originals remain accessible when only chat allowance is exhausted.

Understand your two credit balances

Reading credits and chat credits are separate. An eligible initial package activation includes 20 account-shared reading credits once. Two linked cards do not each get 20. One selected PDF page or one image assessed as one readable complete page/card side uses one reading credit; a multipage document is not automatically one credit.

Uploading, reviewing an existing saved reading and downloading its original do not use another AI reading credit. A fresh confirmed reading request is different.

Eligible initial activation provides 800 included chat credits after actual acceptance of the required chat terms within the applicable membership rules. One chat credit is not necessarily one message: the quote determines the cost.

Available, reserved and used — a simple example

Synthetic reading example: start with 20 available. A confirmed three-page request reserves 3, leaving 17 available, 3 reserved/processing and 0 used. A complete usable result changes this to 17 available, 0 reserved and 3 used. These numbers are an example, not your account.

Reading settlement checks the pages selected for that request. A complete usable result for those pages consumes its reserved reading credits. A failed or incomplete processing result restores the whole request’s reserved reading credits once on settlement; useful partial text may still be saved. Document coverage alone does not decide restoration. Private-chat settlement restores customer chat credits for failed or incomplete work; provider-cost safety holds can still limit new requests. Pending or uncertain status does not establish the actual settled credit outcome. Check the request and credit activity before retrying. Existing purchase-withdrawal holds still apply; restoration does not necessarily make a held balance available. You may use all available reading credits on the same day, including rereading the same source. Each new reading needs a fresh quote and your explicit confirmation. Technical processing safeguards and provider availability still apply.

Coverage example: select pages 1 and 3 of a three-page PDF. If both selected pages complete, the reading uses 2 credits even though page 2 is unread. That gap does not trigger restoration. Saved-result and completion screens show settled usage for that reading and the current available reading balance; Readings links to credit activity. Viewing, reviewing, reopening and final Add use no further reading credit.

Renewals, future credits and expiry

Renewals do not add reading credits. Paid 30-, 90- and 360-day renewals allocate 80, 240 and 640 included chat credits respectively, after required acceptance. Future-term credits become usable when that term starts, not immediately because you paid early. Late acceptance gives prospective access under the original term; it does not restart membership.

Included chat credits are usable for their allocated membership term and the existing 30-day grace. Grace adds no new credits. Purchased reading and chat credits do not expire. Credits do not extend membership: new private-chat answers require eligible paid membership or its grace. Document access and new reading actions also follow the membership permissions shown in the app; an unused balance alone does not unlock restricted features. Membership expiry does not itself erase retained saved results.

The chat fuel gauge

The gauge shows the exact available chat balance and a text status: green when above the low threshold, orange at a low positive balance (20% or less of the eligible capacity), and red when exhausted. Its full capacity depends on your eligible allocations; it is not always 800. If capacity is unknown, the text says so instead of guessing.

A pending request, an uncertain reservation, a safety reserve, payment review or a service/provider interruption is different from low credits. Read the message. Buying credits does not fix every unavailable-service message. The app decides whether a top-up can be offered; do not start another purchase just to clear a pending request.

Other everyday tasks

  1. Profile and emergency information: open “More” → “Profile & account settings” to maintain your details and emergency contacts. Use the medication, lab and other relevant screens for those records. Saved document text does not automatically fill those fields; final Add confirms sharing the medical profile displayed during review.

  2. Emergency profile: “More” → “Emergency profile, QR & export” opens the QR/link and export tools in the Assistant page. Review what you disclose publicly before sharing its link or QR code.

  3. Medical cards: open “Medical cards” to review linked cards, labels and card types. For a lost or stolen card, choose the reason in its lost-card form, enter your current account password privately, tick the confirmation to disable that physical card and submit the report. Follow the resulting replacement request; entering a replacement card’s code and private claim code is a separate step. A loss report does not mean a replacement has already been delivered.

  4. Scan alerts: open ‘Emergency scan alerts’, manage recipients and follow the email-verification instructions. An address awaiting verification is not a verified recipient. Browser location sharing needs the visitor’s permission. Delivery and location are not guaranteed; these alerts are not emergency dispatch.

  5. Membership: open ‘Membership’ to see your period and available renewal options. Review the total and choices before Checkout. A future renewal may start after the current term ends.

  6. Credits: open the separate reading or chat credit screen and choose “Continue with billing details”. Confirm your details, then review the automatically determined VAT-inclusive price and existing purchase terms before Stripe Checkout. Valid billing details are shared with renewals. Ordinary purchases do not require administrator approval; missing or conflicting country evidence needs exception review. Public AI is separate.

  7. Receipts and purchase status: open ‘Purchases’ and select the existing purchase to see its status and available downloadable records. For an unresolved payment, reopen that same purchase or receipt instead of placing a duplicate order.

  8. Support: open ‘Support’ to create a ticket or reopen one and read replies. Include the existing document/request or purchase reference. Language and ‘Sign out’ are at the top of ‘More’.

Continue, replace or remove

Return to Documents and open the same addition. Uploaded, quoted, processing, unresolved, saved, unfinished and committed have different next actions. A saved result opens for review; do not request another reading merely to reopen it.

If a source, result, displayed profile or consent has changed, review the current information again. A stale confirmation cannot silently authorize unseen values. A source that cannot be validated stays unavailable, while authorized withdrawal remains available.

Insufficient credits and service unavailability are different. Read the actual explanation and current credit activity. Buying credits does not resolve a pending operation, provider refusal or uncertain hold. Contact support with the existing reference; do not send passwords or private claim codes.

Withdrawal stops future system access; it cannot recall copies or answers already received or a request already sent to a provider. It is separate from physical erasure. Contact Support@icareintel.se for correction, restriction, erasure or account closure. Requests are assessed individually; the chat-erasure controls do not erase every account, document, mailbox or external copy.
